J.B. Zielke, working cowboy, award-winning author and Founder of Dusty Vaquero, is proud to announce the debut of Dusty Vaquero Days, a two-day music festival set to take place at the CAM-PLEX in Gillette, WY on May 30-31, 2025. In partnership with Gold Towne Music (The Lowdown Drifters, Kellen Smith, Raina Wallace), the event will showcase and celebrate the intersection of music and the modern West.
“I started Dusty Vaquero with the sole purpose of promoting western musicians that have deep ties to agriculture," shares Zielke. “I've happily featured artists of all sizes, ones that have pursued a career in music and have played some of the largest venues, to ones that are just getting started or find themselves playing when they can, alongside ranching or the like. The common thread throughout has always been much more than the music." The Wyoming native has carefully shaped the upcoming festival to represent this wide array of artists, all of which he has featured. “Every artist that will step on stage is either a working cowboy themselves or in some way is strongly connected to that lifestyle. I'm just happy to be a part of an event that will celebrate not only talented musicians, but also the things that make them who they are today.”
Partial lineup has been announced, which includes national touring acts Carson Jeffrey, Kenny Feidler, Kellen Smith and The Lowdown Drifters. Additional acts will be unveiled and tickets will go on sale this Friday, November 29. Purchase options will include both General Admission and VIP options, with varying levels of access throughout the festival and the opportunity for exclusive acoustic performances and much more.
Dusty Vaquero Days would not be possible without the support of the musicians, sponsors and the local community in Gillette. Zielke and Gold Towne Music look forward to the beginning of what they know will become a yearly tradition and celebration of music, community and the cowboy spirit.
